Who is Andrew James Papoutsis?

A triple threat with combined 20 years of sales, design and marketing with the ability to lead. Born and raised in Chambersburg, Pa with a few years in Philadelphia mixed in has given me a unique perspective on both city and rural life. I am very organized and detail oriented and thrive in a structured environment.

Over my work history I have worked with smaller independent owned businesses as well as larger corporations with no issues playing either side of the table. I have been a laborer, a manager, an owner and independent freelancer which gives me a skill set unmatched by most. On top of my wide knowledge of work environments I have had the chance to work on small and large projects. From single page websites or logos to 300 item e-commerce websites and 800 sq. ft. Retail locations I can handle most any job no matter the scope.

EXPERIENCE

SALES

I started my sales journey in the service industry when my friends parents bought a dive bar and renamed it The Norland Pub. After a few years of working every position in the bar I moved to Philadelphia to open and manage a clothing store called Pedestrian on 3rd and South St. in Philadelphia. We had great success for a few years before the recession and construction on the block crushed us. At this point I had developed a knowledge for not only the customer but also the industry which got involved with 2 friends who had a screen printing company. I joined Fresh Melt Water as the third owner/operator and we gained a great following in the city and beyond through the help of a flagship store and a relationship with Urban Outfitters. As FMW grew on we all went our separate ways and I headed back to my home town where I found myself selling cars and doing freelance design.

DESIGN

I have been an artist my whole life, so I can’t really say I started doing design at a certain point. My portfolio ranges from graphic design to interior design with projects as small as a business cards and websites with over 250 products available. While I am proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite I rather enjoy illustration on my iPad with Procreate. I have worked in quite a few mediums including clay, screen-printing, computers, paint and woodworking. In my career I have designed over 50 tee shirt graphics and websites for a variety of clients all over the country. Above all my skills, I have a unique eye and have the vision to see a concept become reality through a defined strategy and precise execution.

MANAGEMENT

Most of my management experience is in the retail industry, however I have done management in car sales as a finance manager. I am a lead by example style manager and believe the key to a well rounded team is putting employees in an environment to strive. I have worked more as an employee than a manager and feel forcing one into a role will not benefit the team as a whole. As I can be a good friendly coworker I have the ability to separate personal and business emotions to better serve the employer and even the employee. Although I have managed mainly retail I understand company regulations and can adapt to nearly any work environment and grow.
